The Violin of M'sieur

The Violin of M'sieur

Very Properly this charming story of fancy rather than fact, is called a fantasy. To be more explicit it might be termed a fantasy of the Franco-Prussian War, in which there is a pleasantly poetic narrative concerning an aged musician, his daughter Yvonne, her sweetheart Jean, and a faithful God. In fact, the Vitagraph's handsome collie plays no mean part in the production. (Print Ad-Urbana Courier-Herald, ((Urbana, Ills.)) 26 August 1914)
